TASTE SUCCESS | As our Website Development Manager you’ll be HexClad’s lead developer and web authority, responsible for overseeing all web architecture, builds, and integrations. This person is the first stop for any technical challenge and the final QA for every digital deployment. They write clean, scalable code, lead technical troubleshooting, manage developers and vendors, and ensure every element—from front-end UI to back-end performance—is flawless. This role demands deep expertise in Shopify Plus, JavaScript frameworks, and API integrations, alongside strong collaboration skills to partner with eCommerce, Design, and Marketing teams on feature rollouts and site optimizations.
- Lead Development: Act as HexClad’s senior developer, overseeing codebase quality, architecture, and development roadmap.
- Project Ownership: Manage end-to-end development projects—from scoping and sprint planning to QA, deployment, and maintenance.
- Performance Optimization: Drive improvements in site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall UX responsiveness across devices and regions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Design, eCommerce, and Marketing to develop and launch new pages, features, and site enhancements.
- Vendor & Team Management: Oversee external development agencies and mentor internal developers to maintain high technical standards.
- Data & Analytics: Ensure accurate data capture through GA4, GTM, and pixel tracking; troubleshoot integrations with CRM and other systems.
- Security & Compliance: Maintain rigorous security protocols and ensure compliance with international data privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, version control, and release notes to support scalability and continuity.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on web development experience, including 2+ years in a lead or managerial capacity.
- Deep expertise in Shopify Plus, Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React (or similar frameworks).
- Experience with API integrations, headless commerce, and CDNs (Cloudflare, Fastly, etc.).
- Proven track record of improving site speed, conversion rate, and technical SEO health.
- Familiarity with GA4, GTM, and marketing pixel tracking.
- Experience with Hydrogen, Next.js, or other React-based headless Shopify builds.
- Exposure to multi-region or multilingual eCommerce environments.
- Working knowledge of A/B testing tools and conversion optimization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry are a plus.
