Reporting to | Vice President of Product Development 

TASTE SUCCESS | As our Product Development Manager, you’ll collaborate closely with the VP of Product Development to define product development goals, timelines, and strategies. You’ll play a crucial role in driving the development of new kitchenware products from conception to market launch. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of the kitchenware industry.

  • Product Strategy: Develop and implement product development strategies aligned with HexClad’s business goals and market demands.
  • Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from ideation and concept through to design, prototyping, testing, and launch.
  • Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitive analysis to inform product development decisions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product development and successful market entry.
  • Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring high-quality production standards and cost-effective sourcing.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control processes to ensure all products meet HexClad’s high standards for performance and durability.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for product development projects, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation by exploring new materials, technologies, and design trends to enhance our product offerings.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback to continuously improve existing products and develop new ones that meet market needs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with relevant industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Travel: Travel to supplier sites and trade shows as needed to foster relationships, gather insights, and stay informed about industry developments.
  • TimeZone Flexibility: Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate meetings with overseas vendors in different time zones, which may include occasional late-night meetings. All accommodations will be made in compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in product development and project management, preferably in the kitchenware industry.
  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with product development tools and methodologies.
  • Passion for cooking and a deep understanding of culinary trends and techniques.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry a plus.
