TASTE SUCCESS | As our Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll oversee all aspects of invoice processing, payment coordination, and vendor management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. With your leadership, you’ll mentor a team of accounts payable professionals, driving excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. 

  • Invoice Processing: Manage the full cycle of accounts payable operations, including processing vendor invoices, matching purchase orders and receipts, and verifying accuracy and completeness of invoices before payment.
  • Payment Processing: Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices, including scheduling payments, preparing checks or electronic transfers, and reconciling payments with accounting records.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for accounts payable inquiries, resolving billing discrepancies, and negotiating payment terms and discounts when applicable.
  • Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and accurately recording expenses in the accounting system for reimbursement.
  • Month-End Close: Assist in the month-end close process by preparing accounts payable reconciliations, accruals, and other journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and payment schedules to optimize cash management and liquidity, forecasting future cash needs and coordinating with treasury and finance teams as needed.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards related to accounts payable processes, including segregation of duties, approval workflows, and documentation retention requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in accounts payable operations, implementing automation and best practices to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts payable management or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures, including GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience using Oracle NetSuite or similar platforms preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
  • Love of food and cooking! Cooking skills and/or experience in the culinary industry a plus.
